so to keep you fine people in the loop.

i am in the process of moving.
with moving comes packing.
with packing comes lost access to my-doodle-creating-process.
doodles should resume once move is complete and house set up.

until then...
check out my tumblr.
i gave in.
figured it could be fun.

i thought really hard about what kind of card i wanted to make for my dad this year for father's day.
over the last year, i have realized what a blessing it has been to have a dad that has taught me so much.
who he is has shaped me.
from teaching me to ride a bike to teaching me to be a man of character,
i am grateful for every moment i get to spend with him.
and grateful to be able to learn more from him.
he really is the greatest.

true story.
but then i learned a lot while exploring the city!

ps. linked up to hyperbole and a half. she is hilarious. i literally laugh out loud.

pps. just noticed it says "is" instead of "it"...too lazy to change it. so deal :)

so i am back from my adventures in st. louis.
all in all, it was a great trip.

i went from hating the city to beginning to love it.
i feel like i can confidently say i am excited to move there.
(view from the top of the famous arch)
oh, right.
so that awesome opportunity i mentioned involves moving to st. louis.
i will be a graduate student (as well as a graduate assistant) at saint louis university.
a professor of mine essentially asked me to tag along for the ride...
and so now i find myself preparing to move to the midwest.

with any move or transition comes mixed emotions.
i am sad to leave athens--the friendships, the comfortability, and the cheap drinks.
but, i also recognize that it seems natural to move on.
i guess a part of me feels like my time in athens is coming to end.
a transition seems not only inevitable, but necessary.

but, with sadness, also comes a sense of excitement.
the city seems to have a unique vibe.
i am anxious and curious to learn more over the next two years.

doodles of explanation to follow i am sure.

off to have an adventure in saint louis with two of my best pals :)

so while i am away, i will do my best to post, but i have a feeling normally posting will resume upon my return :(

details of the trip to follow.
it may or may not have to do with the aforementioned awesome opportunity...

so to complete (for the most part) my semester update, i provide you with two doodles.

i graduated.

i am officially a university of georgia graduate
bachelors of science in social studies education
one of my pet peeves is when people improperly refer to themselves as an alumni.
so to prevent future embarrassment, i present you with a lesson.

Graduation Talk 101:
alumna: n. a female graduate
alumni: n. a group of graduates
alumnus: n. an individual graduate
alum: n. the cop out, an ambiguous abbreviation

so, as i avoided making decisions, and as graduation drew near...
i received an amazing opportunity.

details to come.
but essentially my professor caught a pretty sweet lightening bug for me...
