amidst the stresses of growing up, i decided it would be best to distract myself from the looming decision process.
so i went
back
to
OYP
to do another show.
while i didn't actually wear a
raspberry beret
, it was a lot of fun.
and proved to be an effective decision-avoider.
PS. Prince kind of creeps me out.

one of the great things about graduating college is that there are so many options.
why is it that this is also the most overwhelming part of graduating?
around this time during my student teaching, i was ready to hide under a rock.
it seemed easier to not think about it
but the longer i didn't think about it, the more overwhelming it became.

there was a teacher in the department that i worked in that had a killer mustache.
complete with wax for the magical curl.
he was also australian.
making him even cooler.
i couldn't compete.
ps. i originally spelled it moustache, but then second guessed myself and changed to mustache.
how do you spell it? is one more correct than the other?
oh, those mysterious m(o)ustaches!

student: hot cheetos
me: is that all?
student: yeah, mr. mac! they so gooooood. you want some?
me: no, that's okay. thanks though.
student: you gotta try em. they make your tongue numb.
me: well in that case...(eats flamin' hot cheeto)
they were in fact flaming. and they did in fact make my tongue numb.

to begin, my semester was dominated by student teaching.
while i had a great experience, i hope i never have to see 4am ever again in my life.
with that said, i think i chose the wrong profession.
